1. How does this  work?

With your home phone or office phone, you dial a local number to get to the CallSmart network.  Once you are connected, a message will prompt you to dial the number you wish to reach.  You then dial the number you're calling, 1+Area Code+number.

2. Where can I call?

Anywhere in the USA and Canada (excluding Alaska & Hawaii).

3. How about calls in North Dakota?

Yes, anywhere in North Dakota.

4. How can CallSmart offer unlimited residential long distance* for only $39.99/month?

CallSmart is using a new technology, Voice over IP (VoIP).  When you place a long distance* call with CallSmart, we change your voice to data and send your call over the Internet.  VoIP is a much more efficient way to send your call across the state or across the country and we pass those savings on to you.

5. Will I notice a difference in voice quality when I use VoIP?

No.  CallSmart takes great pride in providing the best quality possible.

6. Do I need any additional equipment to use CallSmart?

No.  All you need is local phone service and a phone.  CallSmart also works with cellular phones.

7.  Do I need to change my long distance* carrier?

No.  Since you are dialing a local access number to use CallSmart, you do not have to change anything.

8.  Can I send faxes using CallSmart?

Absolutely

 * Long Distance is a general term used to describe an information service offered by CallSmart. This service is an alternative to traditional long distance using voice over internet technology.
